We're Growing...
Hey guys,
Well we have finally reached the stage in business when I need to split the sales and portfolio management functions of the business in two.
So its taken a big step in thinking but I am confident that the changes will provide you a better more personalised service all round.
Director of Portfolios
Simon Shankland has been with me for almost three years now, over which time l have seen him build his portfolio as well as 100s of our clients. The portfolio management is something he excels in and for those that have benefited from his passion and enthusiasm I think you will agree he has a real gift for the process. It's because of this that I have asked Simon to take the role of Director of Portfolios as his primary role. By taking away his sales director responsibilities he'll have more time to spend with clients.
Marketing and Information Systems Director
Murray Gray, our website developer and my personal mentor on all things online for well over 10 years is moving to the UK from Australia to further our web marketing presence. Murray has extensive experience in property having worked with me on a number of separate property companies and a mortgage business.
Murray will be heading up our Marketing and Information Systems. This an expansion of his current role which focussed on our online systems only. Murray will also have Alana Alegre working with him. Alana will start in the UK office the middle of August, until then she will remain based in our satellite Australian office. For those of you that may not have realised Alana is actually my finance's sister and she has just completed her Marketing Degree in Australia. She'll be a great asset to the team.
Sales Director
I am a big believer in the role of sales, it's the pointy end of business. Now when most people think of sales they think, pushy, rude, manipulative things but I think educative, fulfill a need, create the environment, motivate the team. The role of Sales Director is a critical one if any business is to grow. They need someone who takes responsibility for this.
I am in the process of recruiting this person and it looks like they will be starting in early September. This is an awesome opportunity for us to grow and the likely candidate is someone who I have worked with previously and is an experienced Sales Director who has worked with many large and small companies in the field of sales and client relationships.
So it's all positive things happening. With James we are able to source more property, you will have already seen the frequency of launches increasing and now with these changes it will allow us to further grow our business and our relationships with you.
